This 1971 Chevy Nova, a true muscle car that was found in its last stage of life and headed for the big car press in the sky, was stumbled on by young man who just had to have it. True love at last. Night and day, he worked. Sanding, scraping with busted knuckles, he stayed the course never saying any bad words (He is a better man than me).
From junk, to the car you see , "Sleepy" was a remarkable piece of work. New motor, new paint and especially the hood air scoop did it all. It did not get any better for this young man. He was walking in seven league boots with new found courage. Then a pretty girl showed up in his life. was it the car, or was it the young man, or was it both?
Sadly for the car, it became second place and had to be sold. Between car insurance and his girl (they are expensive) money was short so the car got the ax.
You see, as I have, "you can't always get what you want, but if you try you sometimes get what you need".
